Mining Engineering

B.E. Mining Engineering is a four-year graduate degree programme that requires a minimum of 12th grade math, physics, and chemistry from a recognised school board or an equivalent exam.
A Diploma in Mining Engineering is a Mining Engineering course at the Diploma level. Mining engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the science, technology, and application of extracting and processing minerals from the natural world. Mining engineers are in charge of discovering mineral, petroleum, and other important natural resources reserves and laying up the designs, creating shafts, inclines, or quarries for the safe extraction of these resources from under the earth’s surface.The academic programme includes not only a solid foundation in basic engineering sciences, but also extensive theoretical and practical training in various aspects of mining engineering, metallurgy, and geology, as well as planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of mines, as well as mineral excavating and transportation.

B.E. Mining engineering: Eligibility

  • For admission in B.E. Mining Engineering, the applicants must be passed the (10+2) examination with science subject such as physics, chemistry and maths. For IIT applicants, it is mandatory to qualify in the (J.E.E) Joint Entrance Examinations. The duration for the course is 4 years.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 50-60% marks
  • Candidates who haven’t received their Higher Secondary results, but will receive them in time to produce the necessary documents for admission, can also apply for these courses.
