Placement and career prospects offered by the top MBA colleges in India

The placement and career prospects in the IIM’s is huge especially the top 3 IIM’s of Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Calcutta which provides one of the highest salaries and average salaries among all the best business schools in India.

IIMs offer the highest salary packages in India. The highest package of INR 1 crore per annum was offered at IIM Bangalore, with the average being about INR 26 LPA.

At IIM Ahmadabad, the highest package was INR 39.81 LPA and the average was INR 15.88 LPA.

A student of IIM, Calcutta was offered the highest package of INR 75 LPA, and the average package offered here was 15.32 LPA.

International Management Institute, Delhi has a record of INR 20.10 LPA as the highest package and the average is INR 15.40 LPA.

At IIM Lucknow, the highest package offered was INR 22 LPA and the average was INR 15.80 LPA.

MBA Eligibility is the first step in determining whether you are eligible to apply for different types of MBA programs. No matter if you score well in MBA entrance exams, if you do not meet the eligibility criteria set by the entrance exam committee, your scores will not be considered for MBA admissions.

The general MBA eligibility criteria, which is common for all the MBA programs are mentioned below:

  • You must have completed your graduation of 3 years (some colleges such as IIT Kharagpur require a bachelor’s degree of 4 years) from a recognized board.
  • You must have scored a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA in your graduation. For reserved categories, a relaxation of 5% is provided.
  • IIT Kharagpur has set its’ minimum aggregate score of 60% for MBA admissions.
  • Some colleges like IPU New Delhi have also set an age bar for MBA eligibility, not beyond the age of 35 years as on August 01, 2021.

Post minimum eligibility criteria, there are some other prerequisites like work experience of a minimum of 2 years, in case of Executive MBA courses and MBA Abroad.

IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta are the most premier MBA colleges in India. Admissions in these colleges are done through CAT score, followed by WAT/GD/PI.
