Instrumentation and Control Engineering

B.Tech. Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation & Control Engineering is an undergraduate Instrumentation Engineering programme. The course will take four years to complete.Instrumentation engineering is a specialised discipline of electrical and electronic engineering, which focuses on the principle, and operation of measuring instruments, which are utilised in design and setup of automated systems. Engineering mathematics, engineering physics, and engineering chemistry are some of the most common subjects studied in this program.Instrumentation fundamentals, linear integrated circuits, industrial management, application programming, metrology, transducers, mechanical measurements, industrial instrumentation, analogue electronics, digital electronics, signals and systems, electrical and electronic measurements, control systems and process control, and so on.
Instrumentation engineering degree holders work in industries and improve productivity, reliability, safety, optimization and stability. These industries should have automated processes that help in improving the above qualities. The candidates studying instrumentation engineering learn about adding sensors to the systems which have recorders, transmitters, displays or control systems. They also have to look into the correct calibration of these instruments, if they are working correctly, therefore, testing them and also maintaining these instruments for future use.
