DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

A diploma in information technology is a programme at the diploma level. This course usually lasts a year, and the syllabus is divided into two semesters. Various institutes also provide it on a part-time basis. Information technology is defined as the use of computers to store, retrieve, transfer, and share information. Eligibility for a Diploma in Information Technology

  • Candidates who have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and English are eligible to take the test.
  • A candidate who has appeared for the qualifying examination but whose result has not been declared may be admitted provisionally to the Joint Entrance Test; however, if he or she fails to qualify in the qualifying examination or fails to produce proof of qualification at the time of counselling, his or her candidature will be cancelled. Such candidates will have no claim to be admitted to any course.
