Dairy Technology

The B.Tech. in Dairy Technology is a four-year undergraduate programme that covers all aspects of dairy processing and manufacturing. Students will learn about the preventive measures used in the manufacturing of milk packaging and milk products, as well as how to maintain a high standard of quality. Bachelors of Technology in Dairy Technology Engineering (B.Tech in Dairy Technology) focuses on novel techniques for producing milk by-products such as cheese, ice cream, and other dairy products utilising scientific technology and engineering gear and instruments.
There are many government and self-financing B.Tech dairy institutions where interested candidates can apply for admission after fulfiling the eligibility criteria. Different types of institutions have different admission mechanisms. After completing their study, the candidates get hired by reputed milk and dairy sector companies like Amul, Mother Dairy, Nestle, Hindustan Unilever etc.
This program involves training students in production, processing, and quality control of dairy-related products. It also focuses on new methods that using scientific technology and engineering machinery and tools.

B.Tech Dairy Technology Course Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be at least 10+2 qualified from any recognized board
  • Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects at the qualifying examination level
  • Applicants must have secured an overall aggregate score of 50% at the qualifying examination level
  • SC/ST/PwD category applicants can apply with overall aggregate marks of 40%
  • Applicants must be at least be older than 17 years and younger than 23 years on the year of applying for admission

Diploma in Dairy Technology Course Suitability

  • Those who are willing to go for teaching fields at higher degree level i.e. college and university level both in private and government institutions are good suit for the course.
  • Those who can do hard work for long hours also are good match for the course.
  • They should also have good communication and interpersonal skills as they should deal with different types of personalities during the course and job as well.
