Biotechnology engineering

BTech Biotechnology is a four-year undergraduate degree program that combines Chemical Engineering Principles with Applied Biology to study the use of living organisms in Engineering, Technology, Medicine, and other practical applications. Biotechnology (BTech) is a field that combines applied biology and chemical engineering to deal with the interaction of living things.
The study and investigation of microorganisms, bioorganisms, and cell processes in living beings is known as biotechnology engineering. It’s essentially a combination of biological science and technology. Biotechnology engineering is a branch of chemical engineering and applied biology concerned with the use of live organisms in technology, medicine, engineering, and other important fields.
Biotechnology covers the areas concerning the engineering of living systems like plant technology, biomedical technology, pharmaceuticals, drug design, animal husbandry, forensics, genetic engineering, biochemical engineering, molecular biology, biomimicry, bioinformatics to name a few. Hence, the origin of the term biotechnology is clearly reflected in the multidisciplinary nature of Biotechnology Engineering course. The stream contains essential biological science and complementary engineering field concepts, which together make biotechnology engineering an interesting subject. The course trains and equips students with theoretical knowledge that is combined with intriguing practical rigor.
Biotechnology engineering can be taken up at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels which would be for the duration for 4 and 2 years respectively.
