Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science

BSc Nautical Science is a 3-year undergraduate program. It is a professional bachelor’s degree that deals with the study of the basic academic and practical devices required to safely navigate and operate marine vehicles, such as a ship.
Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science (B.Sc. Nautical Science) is an undergraduate Aquaculture programme. In the first year of studies, the course concentrates on fundamentals in mathematics, computer technology, physics, and first nautical knowledge. The course emphasises specialised understanding of theoretical and practical areas of Nautical Technology, with a focus on the skills and competences required for Navigation, Cargo Operations, and Ship Maintenance and Operations. The programme is six academic semesters.
This program trains the candidates in becoming Deck Officers and Scuba divers. Also, the lessons imparted include lessons in Nautical Technology and its applications which form a vital part of Nautical Science.

B.Sc. Nautical Science Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects or equivalent with minimum 55% marks from a recognized school board.
  • Some of reputed colleges and institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
