B.Sc. Rehabilitation Therapy

A bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation therapy is a physiotherapy programme for undergraduates. The goal of rehabilitation therapy is to help you get back to living an active and healthy lifestyle as soon as possible. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory therapy are all therapies that are required to return a person to their pre-illness condition. Rehabilitation therapy come into two major types. Physical therapy, which may include exercise, tissue manipulation, and other treatments focused on maximising function in specific body areas.
Occupational therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on skills that help you get ready for work or your typical daily routine. Rehabilitation Therapy is the therapeutic and healing treatment given to a patient following an illness or accident. Cancer, a stroke, or a car or skiing accident could be the cause of the disease or injury. Drug rehabilitation therapy is a type of treatment that helps drug abusers learn to live without relying on drugs in order to be at their physical, emotional, and mental best.

Eligibility for B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy

  • Candidates who are interested in pursuing Occupational Therapy course should have passed 10th and 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% for general and 45% for SC/ST from a recognized board.
  • Students who have passed 10+2 with Science stream, having subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology at intermediate level are only eligible for the respective course.

B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy: Admission Process

  • Admission to Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is done through an entrance examination. Marks obtained by the student in state level/all India level examination and 10th and 12th, are taken into consideration by the University.
  • Based on these factors, a merit list is made and the seats are allocated to deserving students according to this list.
  • Many Institutes have their own entrance examination and some colleges also offer admissions solely on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2.
