B.Sc. of Optometry

Bachelor of Optometry, sometimes known as B.Optom, is one of the many healthcare courses that can be pursued at the undergraduate level. In medical and healthcare schools across India, this is given as a four-year undergraduate study. Optometrists are primary eye and visual system health care providers who provide complete eye and vision care, including refraction and dispensing, detection/diagnosis and co-management of eye illness, and rehabilitation of visual system problems.
The B.Optom curriculum in India is aimed to educate and qualify students in the areas of refractive problems, visual aids, curing diseases and anomalies of the human eye, and other services.
To provide students with practical expertise in this subject, the programme consists of three years of education and one year of internship. Students will study about the various processes that make up vision and optical systems in this course. It also includes knowledge necessary to comprehend the manufacturing and production of optical aids such as contact lenses, spectacles, and so on.
