B.Sc in Genetics

Bachelor of Science in Genetics degree course is three years duration having six semesters.A Bachelor of Science in Genetics (B.Sc. Genetics) is an undergraduate study in Genetics Science. Genetics is the science of heredity and variation in living organisms, as well as the study of heredity and the transmission of traits from one generation to the next. In layman’s terms, B.Sc. (Genetics) studies basic units of heredity known as genes. Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Microscopy, Model Organisms, Mendelian Genetics & Biometry, Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, Genetic Engineering, Cloning, and Biotechnology are all covered in the B.Sc. (Genetics) degree programme.

B.Sc – Genetics Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12th from a recognised board.
  • He/ She must have studied Physics / Chemistry/ Biology or Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

B.Sc Genetics Admission Process

  • Admissions in the B.Sc Genetics course is accepted on merit basis or entrance exam. Candidates must ensure to fill in the online application at respective institutes for admissions.
  • The colleges that accept admission on the basis of institute level entrance exams are Dayananda Sagar University and Jain University.
