B.Sc Anthropology

The Bachelor of Science in Anthropology is a three-year curriculum that examines the similarities and variances in human behaviour. It encompasses a wide range of human characteristics, including culture, organisational structure, and biological characteristics. Anthropology covers topics such as sociocultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and archaeological anthropology.
Bachelor of Science in Anthropology is separated into three primary subjects, Biological Anthropology, Socio-cultural Anthropology, and Archaeological Anthropology. Students interested in learning about the biological, social, and cultural history of the human species should enrol in a Bsc anthropology course.
The study of Anthropology can be done as B.Sc. in Anthropology or M.Sc. in Anthropology. It is the process to understand the human condition, and also about the research techniques to understand about Anthropology.
The main aim of this course is to look after the past, present and the understanding of how humans are made and also their differences. It is concerned with human behaviour, human sciences, etc.

BSc Anthropology Eligibility

  • The student must complete class 12 boards exams with Science subjects.
  • The student must have 50% or more to find a good college to study the subject

BSc Anthropology Admission Process

  • BSc admissions are based on merit based and entrance tests like IAT IISER, OUAT, NEST, and many others conducted by various colleges and universities. There are a few colleges and universities in India which offer an option of lateral entry to the course. Below given is the admission process for admission in BSc anthropology course.
  • Candidates must fill the application form as directed and upload the required documents in prescribed dimensions.
  • After filling the form and submitting the application fee, the candidate must wait for the merit list or the result.

For Undergraduates:

  • The minimum eligibility to pursue this course as an Undergraduate is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects.
  • The candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of at least 50% marks or equivalent.

For Postgraduates:

  • The students who wish to pursue this course as a Postgraduate, the candidate must have passed B.Sc. in Anthropology with an aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Also, the candidates who have B.A. in Anthropology with an aggregate of at least 60% are eligible to pursue this course.
