Anaesthesiology technicians are among the typical healthcare specialists required across several areas in the allied healthcare business. Candidates must complete a 2-year Diploma in Anaesthesia programme provided in medical institutes across India to become an anesthesiology technician.
The Diploma in Anaesthesia programme is aimed to provide training and understanding of anaesthetic, as well as administering anaesthesia dosages to patients based on the severity and type of sickness or procedure.The 2-year diploma programme has been designed as a career-oriented programme, wherein the students gain practical know-how and the theoretical understanding of the effects and uses of different anaesthetics on humans.

B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: Eligibility

  • 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Along with this, the candidates might also need to clear the entrance exam which is compulsory for admission to some of the institutes.

The admission process for B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology is different for different institutes. Some institutes select students on a merit basis, that is, on the marks obtained by the students in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 10+2 examination.
